Soft blue-green dense foliage on a very compact very low maintenance native shrub. Better Johnâ„¢ is small, with vibrant red bottlebrush flowers in spring. Perfect for low hedging, borders, rockeries and tubs.
Callistemon viminalis ‘Better John’â„¢LJ1 PBR
APPEARANCE: Ozbreed variety. Softly toned blue-green foliage on a compact shrub with small, vibrant red brush flowers during spring.
USES: Perfect for low hedging, borders, rockeries and specimen planting in small gardens. Beautiful grown in containers. Bird attracting native.
PLANTING: Full sun to part shade. Suits most soil types. Tolerates drought and cool conditions.
CARE: Mulch and water well for up to 12 weeks or until the plant is established. Apply a native slow release fertiliser during spring for maximum flowering and new growth. This is a low maintenance shrub requiring pruning only every three to four years or more often for formal shape.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.6 – 1.2 m H x 0.6 – 0.9 m W.
PLEASE NOTE: These plants are tubestock plants with young healthy roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 42 mm wide and 80 mm high.
